Sten Mk II Submachine Gun | Game-Ready Asset

I’m excited to share my latest personal project: a highly detailed, real-time recreation of the iconic British Sten Mk II. My goal for this piece was to master the authentic look of wartime stamped metal while maintaining an optimized, production-level workflow.

Technical Overview:

Modeling: High-poly to Low-poly workflow completed in Autodesk Maya. I focused on clean topology and mechanical accuracy, including a full internal assembly (bolt, spring, and chamber) for potential animation.

Texturing: PBR workflow in Adobe Substance 3D Painter. I utilized 2K texture sets to achieve sharp micro-surface details, heat tinting on the barrel, and realistic edge wear while keeping memory usage optimized for game environments.

Baking & Rendering: Bakes and real-time renders were processed in Marmoset Toolbag to showcase material response and lighting.

Project Specs:
